The Village Keeps Growing

If you come away with nothing else from one of co-owner Lonnie Atkinson’s Village Juice Co. locations, it’s this simple truth… “My whole goal was to show people that eating healthy can also taste good. When you are eating real ingredients, they’re very filling, and your body knows how to use them. [Our food] really satisfies you,” says Atkinson.

Now with a team of 50 employees, three co-owners, two retail locations in the Winston-Salem area, and their two newest locations at accounts where Harvest Table Culinary Group manages the hospitality program – Wake Forest University and Elon University, it is clear that Village Juice Co.’s formula of selling great tasting, healthy food is a winning one.

I just feel that there is such a need [for restaurants like Village Juice Co.], it’s the way that people want to be eating. Lonnie Atkinson
Village Juice Co.

That mantra certainly seems to resonate with their loyal following as the local company continues to expand. Village Juice Co.’s simple menu of cold-pressed juices, nut milks, smoothies, smoothie bowls, toasts, and salads places an emphasis getting the most out of healthy, simple, high quality ingredients.

Atkinson originally came up with the idea for Village Juice Co. while working at a raw vegan restaurant in California. “I got super into health and wellness, and I really transformed the way that I ate,” says Atkinson. “I kept going back to ‘how can I make a career out of this?’, because this is something I’m really passionate about.” The partnership with Harvest Table Culinary Group was a great fit!

Harvest Table partners with local suppliers and businesses just like Village Juice Co. that hold the same values of service excellence, healthy lifestyles, and high-quality ingredients.
